Pick 4
Pick 4 is an OH Lottery four-digit game that offers players two chances every day to take home up to $5,000 on a $1 wager. Ticket prices start at just $0.50. The draws take place at 12:29pm (Midday) and 7:29pm EST (Evening) Sunday to Friday. Pools close at 12:25pm and 7:25pm so be sure to get your tickets before then to enter the next draw. On Saturdays, there is a 12:29pm afternoon draw and the evening draw is held during the Cash Explosion Game Show, which is broadcast on TV statewide from 7:30-8:00pm. Saturday night pools close at 7:45pm.
How to Play
Pick a classic Straight bet or try your luck at one of the four types of Box wagers available on Pick 4. Can't decide? Choose Back-Up, which is both a Straight and Box play on a single ticket:
- Straight: Win if your numbers are drawn by the lottery in exact order; there is only one winning combination. Bet $0.50 or $1.
- Box: Win if your numbers are drawn by the lottery in any order. Bet $0.50 or $1. There are four types of box plays:
- 4-Way Boxed: Choose three same and one unique number (e.g. 1, 1, 1, 2) for four ways to win
- 6-Way Boxed: Choose two pairs of the same number (e.g. 1, 2, 2, 1) for six ways to win
- 12-Way Boxed: Choose two same and two unique numbes (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 3) for 12 ways to win
- 24-Way Boxed: Choose four unique numbes (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4) for 24 ways to win
- Back-Up: A combination of a Straight bet and a Boxed bet on one ticket- the Straight play is "backed up" by the Boxed play. A Straight win is paid both the Straight and Boxed prizes. A Boxed win is paid the Boxed prize. Minimum bet $1.
