Game Information
The Missouri Lottery offers the multi-state games Cash 4 Life, Mega Millions and Powerball - plus, the state is one of just a few where you can try out the Powerball Double Play add-on. Double Play costs an extra $1 and features a second draw where your numbers could win up to $10 million.
Players also have the chance to try their luck with in-state games.
Lotto
Lotto is Missouri's flagship draw game that starts off with a minimum jackpot of $1 million. Drawings take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59 PM. You pay $1 for two playlines, and all you have to do after that is pick six numbers from 1 to 44 or choose a Quick Pick to have them randomly generated for you. Match all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot! Here's how it works:
Winning Tier | Prize | Odds | |
---|---|---|---|
Match 6 of 6 | Jackpot | 1 in 3,529,526 | |
Match 5 of 6 | Estimated $715 | 1 in 15,480 | |
Match 4 of 6 | Estimated $29 | 1 in 335 | |
Match 3 of 6 | Free Quick Pick Ticket | 1 in 21 | |
Overall Odds of winning any Missouri Lotto prize are approximately 1 in 20 |
Show Me Cash
Show Me Cash is a draw game held every day at 8:59 PM with the chance to win a jackpot worth a minimum of $50,000. If no one wins the top prize in a drawing, then it rolls over by $5,000 until someone matches all five main numbers and wins! Just pay $1 per line and pick five numbers from 1 to 39 or use a Quick Pick to have numbers generated for you. Here's what you could win:
Winning Tier | Prize | Odds | |
---|---|---|---|
Match 5 of 5 | Jackpot | 1 in 575,757 | |
Match 4 of 4 | $250 | 1 in 3,396 | |

Match 2 of 5 | F£1 | 1 in 9 | |
Overall odds of winning any Show Me Cash prize are 1 in 8.77 |
Want the chance to win a bit of cash right away? You can always pay an extra $1 and add EZ Match to your ticket. You'll receive an extra set of five numbers below your Show Me Cash numbers. A list of prize amounts can be found next to each of these additional numbers, and if any of your EZ Match numbers match your Show Me Cash numbers, you'll win a prize up to $500!

Claiming Missouri Lottery Prizes
If you've won a prize in a draw game like Lotto, Powerball or Mega Millions, then you have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim your prize. If you won a prize on a Scratchers game, you'll have 180 days from the official end of the game.
Prizes of all amounts may be claimed by mail - see details below.
Won $600 or less? You can also claim your winnings at any Missouri Lottery retailer or at a Lottery office in Jefferson City, Kansas City, Springfield or St. Louis.
If you've won between $600.01 and $35,000, you can claim your prize and receive it the same day at any of the Lottery offices - just bring the signed winning ticket, government-issued photo ID and a completed claim form. Prizes worth more than $35,000 will take about two weeks to process.
Jackpot prizes for Lotto, Powerball and Mega Millions are paid out in a lump sum or in installments. You can choose a cash option within 60 days of claiming your prize - if not, the prize will be paid as an annuity. Lotto is paid in 25 installments while Powerball and Mega Millions are paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years.
For prizes above $600, you will need to complete an IRS Form W-9. Missouri state taxes of 4% percent are withheld on all prizes worth $600.01 or more, and federal withholding taxes of 24% are levied on prizes worth $5,000 or more.
