Game Information

The Florida Lottery offers the multi-state games Mega Millions and Powerball, and is one of the select jurisdictions selling the Powerball Double Play add-on. Double Play costs $1 extra and gives a second chance for your numbers to win in a separate draw with cash prizes of up to $10 million.

In addition, the Sunshine State has a variety of its own awesome draw games to try your luck on ...

Florida Lotto

The Sunshine State's biggest draw game offers jackpots that often rise above $20 million! It costs just $2 per ticket, and all you need to do to play is choose six numbers from 1 to 53. A multiplier number increases the value of all prizes except the jackpot by up to 10 times, while the Double Play and EZmatch add-ons deliver more ways to win.

Lotto Double Play

Add Double Play to your FL Lotto ticket for an extra $1 and you could win up to $250,000 in cash prizes. Double Play uses your Lotto numbers in a second draw held just after the main Lotto draw.

Fantasy 5

Fantasy 5 is played twice a day at approximately 1:05 PM & 11:15 PM ET. Fantasy 5 tickets cost just $1, making the exciting game one of the state's most popular. You can win by matching as few as two numbers, and if there is no top prize winner then the jackpot rolls down into the prize fund for the lower tiers. Add the EZmatch option for the chance to win a cash prize instantly.

Jackpot Triple Play

Jackpot Triple Play replaces the retired game Lucky Money. There are at least three ways to win on every ticket, and a jackpot of up to $2,000,000! You can also win up to $10,000 more with the Combo option.

Pick 2

Pick 2 is the Florida draw game with a top prize of $50 and drawings twice a day, seven days a week. There are a variety of play styles so you can play your way: Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Number or Back Number.

Pick 3

Pick 3 is the FL game you can play today and get paid today. Go for the top prize of $500 with a $1 Straight bet, or boost your odds of winning with Box, Straight/Box, Combo, or Pairs. There are two chances to win every day!

Pick 4

Pick 4 is the fast-paced Florida Lottery game with a top prize of $5,000 and draws twice every day. There's a play style for everyone - if you've got your eyes on a bigger prize try Straight or Combo, or increase your chances of winning with Box, Straight/Box or Pairs.

Pick 5

Pick 5 is an exciting FL game with a top prize of $50,000! Choose your favorite play type: Straight, Box, or Straight/Box. There are two chances to win every day of the week.

Fireball

Fireball is an option you can add to any of the daily Pick games (Pick 2, 3, 4, and 5) for more chances to win. The Fireball add-on doubles the cost of your Pick game ticket and applies to all panels played. A Fireball drawing is held twice a day after the Pick game draws. One Fireball number is drawn for all Pick games; players can use the Fireball number to replace any of the numbers in the main draws, increasing the chance of making a winning match. You can even take home two prizes, from the base game and Fireball!

Cash Pop

Cash Pop is a one-digit game that offers five draws every day for lots of chances to win, with $1, $2, and $5 wagers and payouts of up to $1,250.

Other Games

Florida Lottery instant win games provide players with instant gratification and a rush of adrenaline. These exciting games include a variety of Fast Play and Scratch-Offs options. They can be purchased at official Florida Lottery retailers and cost between $1 and $25. These tickets can pay out top prizes from $50 to $5 million, making them a great choice for those lottery fans who can't wait for the thrilling sensation of a big win!

History of the Florida Lottery

The Florida Lottery began in 1986 when voters approved a constitutional amendment establishing a state lottery for the purpose of raising money for educational initiatives. The first tickets went on sale on January 18th, 1988 - six days ahead of the projected launch date of January 18th. The Florida Lottery did so well in its first 17 days of operation that it was able to repay the $15.5 million in start-up funding that it borrowed from the state - plus interest!

In 2016 the FL lottery implemented some changes. The popular daily draw Cash 3 was renamed to Pick 3, while Play 4 and Play 5 were also rebranded as Pick 4 and Pick 5 respectively.

In August 2017, a Panamanian woman made headlines by winning a $30 million Florida Lotto jackpot after playing through an online concierge service. Aura Dominguez Canto signed up from home to play every drawing for a month and staff from the Lotter bought official tickets in Florida on her behalf. They contacted her to inform her of her win and she flew to Tallahassee to pick up her giant check.

Today, the Florida Lottery raises valuable funds for educational initiatives in the Sunshine State through ticket sales. Over $35 billion has been allocated to education since the Lottery began operating in 1988 and more than 800,000 students have gone to college due to the lottery-funded Bright Futures Scholarship.

Buying Florida Lottery Tickets

Lottery fans living outside of the USA have the option to buy lottery tickets online to take part in the Florida Lotto as well as multi-state games Powerball and Mega Millions.

Claiming Prizes

Have you won a Florida Lottery prize? Congratulations! All prizes of any amount may be claimed by mail. Any prize below $600 can also be paid out by a Florida Lottery retailer.

Regardless of how much cash you win, for draw games you have 270 days after the winning drawing to claim a prize. After that time the prize will expire and 80 percent of the amount will be transferred to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. The leftover 20 percent goes back to the prize pool.

If you've won on a Scratch-Off or Fast Play game, you have 150 days to claim after the official end of the game.
