Quick Picks and Easy Picks

Quick Picks and Easy Picks are both terms that refer to the random generation of numbers for lottery players. Most states use the term Quick Picks, while others use Easy Picks. Lots of lottery enthusiasts like to pick their own selections, but there is a lot to be said for using Quick Picks / Easy Picks instead, as the following points illustrate...

1 – Quick Picks / Easy Picks entries are convenient. You don’t have to wait to fill in a play slip but can simply approach the person operating the lottery terminal and ask for as many entries as you want. The machine will then generate numbers for as many lines as you need and print your ticket – simple!

2 – You have just as much chance of winning a lottery jackpot (or any non-jackpot prize) when playing a Quick Pick or Easy Pick ticket as you do when playing numbers that you have chosen yourself. The lottery odds, as good or as poor as they may be, remain exactly the same, regardless.

3 – If you were to play your own numbers based on birthdays, lucky numbers and anniversaries, and you happened to win the jackpot, you could well find that a dozen other people have selected the very same numbers. This would mean receiving only part of the jackpot prize yourself. However, if you win a jackpot when playing a Quick Pick ticket, you may find that you don’t need to share it with very many other winners. In fact, you might not need to share it at all!

4 – Quick Picks are great for players who believe in destiny, fate, luck and other similar concepts. If you play a set of randomly generated numbers and you win, you can think of it as having been “meant to be”. And if you don’t win, well, maybe the time wasn’t right and it will be your turn at some point in the future.

5 – If you usually buy several lottery tickets, you can enter a combination of your own selections and a few Quick Picks / Easy Picks as well. This means that you don’t have to choose between the two approaches if you don’t want to.
